Candy Dulfer

Candy Dulfer began playing the saxophone at an early age, influenced by her father Hans Dulfer, a well-known Dutch jazz saxophonist.

Candy Dulfer gained international fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s with her smooth jazz and funk-inspired music. One of her breakthrough moments was her collaboration with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics on the hit single “Lily Was Here” in 1989, which became a major success across Europe. This collaboration catapulted Dulfer into the international music scene, and she subsequently released several albums that showcased her dynamic saxophone skills and musical versatility.

Throughout her career, Candy Dulfer has collaborated with numerous prominent musicians and bands, including Prince, Maceo Parker, Van Morrison, and Pink Floyd. Her music blends elements of jazz, funk, and pop, characterized by infectious grooves and her soulful saxophone solos. She has released multiple albums, including “Saxuality” (1990), “For the Love of You” (1997), and “Candy Store” (2007), among others.
